Laboratory Medicine Department is one of the clinical departments that provides services to patients in other clinical departments, as the laboratories of the National Liver Institute Hospital serve inpatients and outpatients, in addition to Blood Bank services. The Department is keen to provide distinguished laboratory services to patients, so equipment has been provided so that work will continue 24 hours. Due to the Laboratory Medicine Department's interest in following up the latest scientific research, a scientific Research Department and a Stem Cell Department were established so that researchers can conduct their laboratory research. The department has sought to participate with the rest of the hospital’s departments to conduct studies that benefit the diagnosis and follow-up of treatment of liver patients. Various studies and projects have also been held in partnership with Cairo University and Ain Shams University to exchange experiences.
